Over the Christmas break I saw the movie “Juno”. While I didn’t fall in love with it, it was quite entertaining. One thing that did stand out was the intro. Like Jason Reitman’s other movie “Thank you for smoking” it set the tone of the movie nicely. You can see the Title Sequence of that movie after the break.

James Marsters, who played Spike the vampire on Buffy the Vampire Slayer, has signed on to play bad guy Piccolo in the upcoming Dragon Ball Z movie. Justin Chatwin, Tom Cruise’s son in War of the Worlds, will face off against Marsters as hero Goku.

Stephen Chow, director of Shaolin Soccer and Kung Fu Hustle, will produce the DBZ flick while X-Files writer/Space Above & Beyond co-creator James Wong will direct. The nerd cred is strong with this one.

The Dragon Ball movie is set to begin filming later this year, and be released next summer.

While I not the biggest DBZ fan, this is pretty cool. Good to see James Marsters getting work. Also they have some good people working on it. It might be pretty good.

They look pretty damn scared. I can’t remember a time when i was truly scared in a movie. It makes me really want to see this movie.

This looks to be a nice inside look on the horror legend.

The first movie was pretty damn funny. This looks to follow.

I am really digging all this different takes on the Zombie Genre. It good to see the world getting in on the action.

Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind is a classic in my mind. So I am sure this movie is going to be great.

Yes, This is a real movie. I know he is a pile of crap but damn he is cute.

I do wish they had used the original script for Alien 3, which was written by William Gibson. It had Riley making it back to earth again (Which she ended up doing in Alien: Resurrection). There was a whole Earth War with the Aliens. I didn’t mind Alien 3 so much. It has a great opening What I didn’t like about it was the killing off of all the characters. Did they really need to kill of Hicks and Newt?

Don’t know… I kind of like it. I dig that they are using the same voices from the cartoon. Brings back fond memories of the TV show.

Here is a breakdown of some of the summer movies I have seen well.. this summer…

Live Free or Die Hard:

What can I say about the movie other than its all types of great. The action is great; which is shocking because this is the same director that brought you the crappy movie Underworld; and the story is way out there, but still entertaining. What really makes the movie is Bruce Wills, he just sell the action so well that even when he does something “Superhero-like” you still root for him. Go see this movie.

The “Last Starfighter’ is coming to HD-DVD in the fall. Nothing new other then the High Def Transfer. I am quite surprised that they choose it. It seems like a pretty random choice. With that said I am siked, It a great 80’s movie that still holds up.Source | High-Def Digest

I most say it doesn’t look half bad. Might be a quite watchable movie.

We need more movies about the History of Video games.

I remember loving this movie when I was a kid. Somehow I don’t think it will hold up but I am still going to get it. You can also visit your childhood again on June 26. Thanks to Dread Central for the heads up.

Will Smith got game, Rubik game…

I guess if you are going to mix to things together.
